Once again, the people of South Sudan are facing a crisis. Due to destructive flooding across the region, food insecurity is rapidly increasing as villages face hunger breakouts resulting from the destruction of crops from water damage. As these communities navigate one hardship after another, we humbly ask for donations to provide food for the men, women, and children in crisis in hopes of alleviating a small amount of the pain they are facing. In addition to the destruction of crops, the violent floods have led many families to be displaced from their homes. William Mou, a Lost Boy who moved back to Sudan from America to run "Literacy at the Well," a program focused on increasing women and children's literacy in South Sudan, conveys the following message: “How hard it is for [the Sudanese] to be homeless in a flood. What difficult times [they] have.” William explains that the situation is made worse due to the fact that there are no longer any stores able to provide food for the people since the stores are also destroyed. Any donation you can contribute is deeply appreciated by the individuals facing unimaginable challenges in South Sudan. As always, if a monetary donation is not possible at this time, prayers for the community of South Sudan are impactful as well.
